Call For Donations...

As I mentioned earlier, I'm once again planning on running the Cherry Blossom 10 Miler on Saturday, April 6. It's a *great* run, and last year I hit a 10 miler PR of 1:28:01. (My goal this year is 1:25). If you're feeling particularly generous and would like to donate money to the Children's Miracle Network, please click on the following link...

This will be my last post before my vacation. I know, I know; try not to cry. :-)
WOO HOO.
I'm super excited; it's not even funny. Things at work have been uber crazy. I mean. UBER.CRAZY. It's all good, though; makes the time go by quickly. Still feeling under the weather, but it's not too bad and I have a feeling things will be perfect once my foot hits the sand. Mainly I've just been having a hard time sleeping because I just get so stupid congested.
But anyway, I'm out. Hopefully I'll have fun pics to post upon my return. In the meantime, work hard, my friends; work hard. Also, happy early birthday to obeer; I hope it involves lots of, well, beer. :-)

I had a great run last night. I was flirting with bad weather, so I pushed it pretty quickly. There's this hill near the end of the run, and usually it's the bane of my existence, but yesterday I kicked that hill in the ASS, man. It was awesome. Have to try to go for a bit of a run at lunch today, then tomorrow's a rest to prepare for Saturday's long run.

Last week I asked for today off because, at the time, I was planning on doing an all-night walkathon. In part because of my lingering knee unhappiness, and in part because of the fact that the older sister will be in town, I've decided to not do the walk. I did, however, take the day, anyway, because I figured I deserved it after this hell of a week. I must say, it was the best decision I've ever made. Woke up early, dropped my car off (AC's busted), walked to Panera for a bagel, got a pedicure, got my eyebrows waxed, walked back home, spent two hours at the pool and am now ready to head back to my car (only about a mile away). I'm tempted to go back to the pool once I get back. The sun shouldn't be as strong by then, and it's enjoyable.
I'M IN HEAVEN.
I need a summer long vacation to park my ass by the pool; I'd need to get one of

obeer

's nifty beer vending machines, though...
